Painting

Painting has always been Sonia Fynn's major passion. She is inspired by colour but her technique is based on sound basic drawing skills developed from early success in drawing at Harrow. Her medium has developed from oils to watercolour and most recently, the use of acrylic in overlaid washes. She has been most successful with landscape and architecture, developing picture series in each of the areas she has lived, including the United States, at the same time as exploiting her extensive travel in Europe. She has also undertaken a number of private commissions. Her portfolio includes pictures from Cambridgeshire, Cornwall, Buckinghamshire, Columbus, Ohio and Devon. She has painted extensively in Spain, Italy including Venice, and Greece.

Printing

For the most popular picture series and certain drawings, Sonia Fynn has worked with fine art printers to produce limited editions that have proved to be a successful and affordable alternative to the original works.
